Julie began taking yoga in 1999. She was looking for something unique in a workout. She studied Iyengar Yoga for 8 years, including when she injured her back in a car accident and Restorative Yoga was the only thing she could do. It was then she discovered the healing and spiritual elements of yoga. In 2007, she began exploring other styles of yoga.
She completed her 230 hour yoga teacher training at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis in October 2011. She teaches in mostly Yin, Restorative, and Hatha style yoga with an Iyengar influence. She loves bringing yoga to people new to the practice as well as seasoned yogis. Julie has earned her 500 hour certification through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy. She has been teaching yoga at various studios and providing yoga therapy in clinics and studios around the Twin Cities area.
