Jackie has taken a group fitness class almost every single day for the last 7 years. She’s practiced in countless yoga and fitness studios and gyms all over the United States and a few in Mexico and Canada. She has over 1200 hours of teacher training in yoga philosophy and history, yoga anatomy, yoga therapy, yoga asana and fitness. She has taught over 2,000 yoga and fitness classes to students from all walks of life. Before yoga she spent 5,000+ hours studying and practicing dance and gymnastics and worked in medical device marketing and sales. She drew on her experience, research and the opinions of many experts in the wellness community to create the Dharma Yoga series of postures.
She has had the opportunity to study under many teachers for whom she has tons of gratitude. These trainings include Buddhism, Mindfulness and Ayurveda with ordained Dharma Teacher and author of MINDFULNESS YOGA, Frank Jude Boccio, History and Philosophy of Hatha Yoga with Yumee Chung and Becca Janse, Functional Anatomy with author of PRINCIPLES OF YOGA THERAPY Pierre Laurier Desjardins, Anatomy of Yoga with doctor of osteopathy Dina Tsoluhas, Moksha Yoga with founders Jessica Robertson and Ted Grand, Power Yoga with Lisa Bloom and Kai Trinh and Hot Yoga with Kitty Orient. She has also completed trainings under amazing teachers in Barre, basic strength, TRX, pilates and fusion fitness class formats.
Jackie is the founder of DharmaCycle Yoga. She believes in creating meaningful connections that nurture empowered and happy people and peaceful community. Her dharma is to teach and inspire through love and she plans to Live Her Dharma where ever that may take her in life. She’s a vegan, proud aunt and spends lots of time with family and friends. Other than wellness Jackie loves sunshine, water, the outdoors, live music, champagne, chocolate and getting dressed up.
