Carrington Jackson.

Picture
Over the last 20+ years, Carrington’s study of yoga has been a diverse journey through Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vinyasa, and everything in between.  Carrington began teaching in 2004 and is E-RYT 500 certified. Her classes are a canvas of power, prayer, and presence, intertwined with messages of spirit, magic, and social responsibility. On a physical level, her teaching practice is about piecing together the individual parts of the body into the more powerful whole. On a soulful level, her passion both on and off the mat is creating a catalyzing container for folks to remember their who, what and why. On a collective level, the purpose of her teaching is to correlate yoga on and off the mat, ultimately paving the way from the I to the WE. In addition to teaching, Carrington is a soulful public speaker, committed spiritual activist and joyful ordained minister.

Carrington is known throughout the Triangle for teaching large scale, outside the box yoga events that bring smaller yoga communities together into a massive collective. She holds weekly classes in Raleigh at Blue Lotus Yoga Studio and Midtown Yoga. She is on faculty at the Blue Lotus Yoga Teacher Training Program, Midtown Yoga Teacher Training Program and teaches as a guest instructor for many teacher training programs throughout the country. She serves as a mentor to both new and established yoga teachers and seeks out ways to support and connect the Triangle Yoga Community as a whole. She is the Yoga In Action Coordinator for Off The Mat Into The World, and the regional leader for CTNWELL. She served for three years as a Lululemon Ambassador and continues to collaborate with their team to create events and experiences of higher learning and higher being. When she is not teaching locally, Carrington leads yoga retreats, both stateside and abroad, teaches online courses for Off the Mat and travels with internationally known yoga teacher Seane Corn as one of her assistants. Carrington has gratefully had many teachers along the way. A few teachers who have influenced her personal and teaching practices are Seane Corn, Marianne Williamson, Rev. angel Kyodo williams, Carolyn Myss, and of course the greatest teacher of all... Life.
